Brand new ViewSonic VT2430 24-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV

Ok, when I purchased this TV (the first time around) it lasted just a little over a month, and then would power cycle off and on and off and on (into infinity). The only way you could make it stop power cycling off and on would be to unplug it. I called ViewSonic (the manufacturer) and they were about as helpful as a box of rocks telling me they could only replace the TV with a "refurbished" model (read: USED junk that gave someone else problems previously). Then I called Amazon customer service who did actually replace the TV with a new on (same make and model). When I received the new TV and hooked it up it had a LARGE VERTICAL STRIPE on the left side of the screen indicating a defect in the build quality of the unit. I am now going to get a refund and go with a different television. I would not recommend buying this TV to anyone based upon my experience with it. Oh yes, and on some channels there is a LARGE GREEN stripe on the right side of the television as well. Not good.
